Huawei's new P30 family has a somewhat curious way of shutting down. Although we have the usual individual button, located under the volume buttons, surely you have noticed that when you click on it, the Google Assistant appears. To turn off the mobile we will have to use this same button, but leaving it pressed for a few seconds. But, what happens if, for some reason, our mobile is frozen and does not respond to any of our actions? Let's see how to force restart the Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite.
How to restart the Huawei P30 if it does not respond
In the event that the terminal does not respond and does not allow us to do anything, we will have to force a restart. All mobiles offer a physical way to force restart when the operating system is not responding. Let's see how it is done in the Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite.
The first thing to do is press the Shut down button located on the right side of the device. We will have to keep it pressed for at least 10 seconds. If we have done it right, the screen of the Huawei P30 will be completely black.
After a few seconds the Huawei logo should appear in white. Being a forced reset, the terminal will take a little longer than usual to turn on. We must be patient and wait for the reset to finish.
How to reset the Huawei P30 from the recovery menu
A more radical option is to access the recovery menu and restart the terminal from this menu. For this we will have to press the "Volume up" and "Off" keys simultaneously.
As before, we must keep these two buttons pressed for several seconds. When the restart process begins, the Huawei logo will appear.
After a few seconds, a small menu will appear under the EMUI logo. We should not touch anything on this menu if we do not know very well what we are doing. So we will just select the option "Reboot system now. " Once this option is selected, the Huawei P30 will turn off again and the Huawei logo will appear again. In a few seconds we will have the operational mobile again.
If after forcing the reset of the terminal we still have problems, perhaps it is time to perform a factory reset. However, we must bear in mind that this action will delete all the data we have on the mobile.
