From the iPhone 6s the devices of the bitten apple arrived with a new feature in the camera; Live Photos (in English called Live Photos). This function takes a photo and captures video a few seconds after the photo to create that animated effect and then be able to see it in the gallery thanks to the 3D Touch function. However, you may find the feature annoying and you just want a photo. Live Photos is activated by default on the iPhone, but there is an option for it not to activate.
Disabling Live Photos on the iPhone is very simple. This option works for any model. We will only have to go to the camera app and press the button that appears in the upper area. It will show us a notice that Live Photos has been deactivated. Now when you enter the camera, you can take normal pictures. But what if you want to use the function again? You can activate it from the same button, although you must deactivate it again each time you enter the camera app and use it. In most cases you will leave the app without deactivating the function, taking a Live Photo every time you enter again. So you can deactivate it permanently.
Open the camera app with Live Photos disabled
In the system settings, enter the camera section and click on the first option called 'Keep settings'. Uncheck the box that says 'Live Photo'. This will cause that every time you enter the camera application, the function is deactivated and you have to activate it manually. Even when the terminal has relapsed. In this way, you can use the function without having to deactivate it when closing the camera. And when you come back, Live Photos will be disabled.
What if you took a Live Photo and you only wanted one photo? You can edit it in settings and disable animated photography. To do this, find the image in Photos and click on 'Edit'. Then click on the round icon that appears at the bottom and tap on the yellow box labeled 'LIVE'. It will be deactivated automatically.
