Apple has introduced in iOS 13, the latest version of its mobile platform, a new functionality dubbed "Slide to Type" (slide to type). Basically, it works the same as the old Swype keyboard from 2013. That is, it allows you to slide your finger across the keyboard, making sure to cycle through all the letters you want to play. Of course, now, thanks to Artificial Intelligence, the system magically calculates what word you are trying to write. This makes writing with one hand much easier and faster, which always comes in handy to speed up conversations or emails.
The new function is activated by default in iOS 13 and it is possible to use it in our language. Of course, in case you do not want to have it because you want to use the traditional keyboard without further complications, it will be very useful to know where it is on the platform to be able to deactivate it immediately. To disable it, enter the Settings section and go to General and Keyboard. Here, locate the "Slide to write" lever in the middle of the screen and turn it to Off.
We recommend that if you usually write a lot and also need to do it quickly that you become familiar with this new function. Imagine you want to write the phrase "see you at seven." Just by putting the letter "n" to start the sentence and moving to the other words, the system will know what you want to say and will suggest words that you will only have to select to complete your sentence. You can really save a lot of time if you get used to it and do Swipe to write one of your favorite iOS 13 functions. In addition, going from one letter to another is very comfortable and it is difficult to make mistakes, being able to write with one hand, which is what it is about precisely.
Before joining Slide to write to iOS 13, some users used this system through third-party applications. Among the most popular we can mention SwiftKey or Gboard keyboard, both available for free download in the App Store. If you can't install iOS 13 or don't want to install it yet, you can use these two tools to write faster.
