Huawei allows us to choose two options when adding a new account to our mobile. On the one hand, the possibility of creating a user. In this case a separate account is created where everything can be configured as a new device. That is, the user can have their Google account, images, applications and even their own unlocking method. Even if we restart the device, the user data will remain. Of course, the administrator can uninstall applications and delete data. Also, some of the EMUI features will only be available to the administrator.
On the other hand, we can also add a guest. Here we can choose if we want to continue with the previous session or delete everything. In the latter case, all the settings and files will be erased when the user logs out. In addition, we can choose if we want the invited user to be able to make calls or not.
To create several users on a Huawei mobile with EMUI, we just have to go to Settings> Users and accounts> Users. Next, choose which option you want to add, a User or a Guest. We can only choose one guest and up to 3 users.
When you click on one of the two options, you can select a nickname and a profile picture. Then click on 'Add' . The system will ask us if we want to activate the new account or continue in the main one. If we agree to activate the new account, it will ask us to accept some permissions and it will take us to the initial configuration, where the user can customize all the settings to their liking.
How can we switch between users?
On the lock screen, in the upper right area, a new icon will appear. Pressing will display all available users. We just have to click on the user we want to enter and that's it. To exit, they are the same steps: we select the user from the lock screen. Next, we select the user or owner.
If you want to delete a user or a guest, go to Settings> Users and accounts> Users. Then select the user you want to delete. In the menu select the Delete user option and confirm the action. The data registered in that account will be deleted unless you have allowed the ability to share the call history. In addition, there will be a new free space for another user.
Is creating a user the same as creating a Private Space?
They are different functions. Users are used so that other people can access your device independently, while the Private Space is a section within your account to store and save data that you do not want to be in your main profile. For example, it is useful for storing confidential documents or creating a zone with your work information.
