If sometimes you get tired of being with your eyes glued to your iPhone to read one of our articles or any type of text, you can make the terminal read for you. In case you don't know, Apple devices have accessibility features, developed for people with physical difficulties. The good news is that we can benefit from many of them, as is the case at hand.
Like all accessibility options, it is necessary to activate them by entering the iPhone or iPad settings. When you have activated this option, with a simple gesture you can start reading the screen. Follow the next steps:
- Go to Settings> General> Accessibility.
- Click on the Read section.
- Activates the Read Screen function.
- You can also activate the option Read selection
- You can change the speed of speech to set how fast you want it to read to you.
When you have activated these options, you will have to go to the text that you want your iPhone to read aloud. If you want it to only read a section, select the part of the text and click on the new read button. If you notice, you can put that piece of text on pause or stop reading it at the moment you decide. If you want your iPhone to read the article or the full text, you just have to slide two fingers from the top to the bottom of the iPhone. Next, a menu will be displayed with a number of options, including the tortoise and hare (speed) and the play / pause controls.
When you slide your two fingers, your iPhone will begin to read all the content on the screen. If you want, you can look at the screen to see where the text goes. The word you are reading will be in blue.
If you spend a second without touching the window that has appeared, you will see that it will be minimized and an arrow will be displayed in black. When you want to go back to the options, you just have to click on it.
