Yesterday we learned that the Nokia Lumia 800 already has an official launch date in Spain. It will be on November 24 when it is put on sale in our country, and it will be possible to achieve it with the terminal released for 500 euros, or through the main operators, which will accommodate the Nokia Lumia 800 in their respective strategies.
The first of these strategies that has become known has been that of the French operator Orange. This company has distinguished itself from the rest, and has already stated that it will offer the Nokia Lumia 800 free to its customers. Although, as you already know, the word free can be too generous an expression, considering the conditions that will have to be adopted to access the offer.
To begin with, a classic: the commitment of permanence and the request for portability will be unavoidable steps to take the Nokia Lumia 800 without losing a euro entrance fee. The permanence commitment, as usual in Orange's proposals, extends to two years, which generally also applies to the impossibility of changing the contracted rate (for at least 18 months), although this time there is no explicit news about it.
On the other hand, to take the Nokia Lumia 800 without opening the wallet, it will be necessary to hire the Dolphin 59 rate. This option includes a franchise of 1,000 minutes voice calls and 750 MB of data traffic for about 70 euros per month minimum consumption. In case of exceeding the minute package, the excess traffic is charged; Not so in the case of data, which if it is exceeded will not entail an additional cost, but rather the connection speed will drop at the rates of 2G connections.
At this time, Orange has not made public the other combinations of rates and prices for the Nokia Lumia 800 that we can see in its catalog. What they have indicated is that they will integrate an offer of those that are so fashionable and that involve the delivery of a terminal to obtain a discount on the purchase.
In this sense, if we have a Nokia X6 or a Nokia 5800 at home, we could exchange them for a discount of 50 euros on the acquisition of the Nokia Lumia 800. By the way, this option would be available for portability as for new registrations and users that are already part of the orange operator's client portfolio.
