How to change the font of a xiaomi mobile without root

If you have a Xiaomi phone, we are going to teach you a trick with which to change the source of it without having to modify the system, root, unlock bootloader… all those processes that may seem dangerous and arduous to many of us and that could terminal with the guarantee of our mobile. It is a completely free application that we have in the Android Play Store and that performs the process without problems and without you having to fear for its proper functioning.

Change the region of your mobile and access the Themes app

What the application does is download the fonts in our system and install it through another application that we have pre-installed on our Xiaomi, known to all as 'Themes'. What is the problem? Well, this application does not work correctly in Xiaomi terminals with a region established in Spain, so we must manually change the region. How do we do that? Follow the steps and before changing the font make sure you have the 'Themes' application well enabled.

To change the region of our Xiaomi phone we are going to enter its settings. At the top, in the search bar, we put 'region' and a single result will appear. Click on it and a new screen will open. On this screen we are going to choose, for example 'Andorra'. We could choose 'China' or 'India' but applications that do not interest us would be installed. In addition, when changing region we can listen to music, through headphones, at a higher volume, since in Spain it is limited by law to protect our ears. Turn up the volume in moderation!

Install fonts thanks to MIUI Custom Font Installer

Once you have verified that the 'Themes' application works correctly, we are going to go to the Android Play Store to download the MIUI Custom Font Installer tool. Once installed in our terminal we are going to open it and, in the 'Cool' tab we choose the font that we like the most. The fonts are not in alphabetical order, so you have to go one by one and choose, depending on how you see it, the one we like the most for our terminal. Of course, be patient with the publicity because every time we change the screen we see the five seconds of the promotional video. In the font preview screen, click on 'Download'. After the, again, promotional screen, click on 'Set' and choose the installation method. I have used 'Method 3 (Latest)' and it has worked perfectly for me.

Next we are going to go to the 'Themes' application that we have previously activated and choose the desired font. As you can see, there are two screens that appear to be from the same application, and indeed they are, but we recommend that you select ' Apply me ' to install the new font. Now click on 'Apply' and restart our mobile for the changes to take effect. If everything has gone well. you will be able to see your Xiaomi phone with a new source.

Now, how do we go back to the previous source? Well, very simple. We reopen the 'Themes' application and now we are going to select, in the bottom bar, the third icon, which looks like a face. Here we click on 'Themes' and choose either 'Classic' or 'Default'.
