Do you have a Huawei mobile and you don't know how to change your SIM PIN? In all cases, when you buy a new card, it comes with a default PIN code. It is always advisable to change the password for your own one so as not to forget and not carry the card and the code in the wallet or bag. The SIM PIN code can be changed from the phone settings, but the option is not easy to find. We show you below how you can change the code on any Huawei mobile.
In this tutorial it does not matter which device from the Chinese company you have, even if the Android version is different. Huawei has its own customization layer called EMUI and the system settings hardly change. In my case, I have tested on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 and Android 8 with EMUI 8 and the option remains in the same place. To change the PIN, it will first be necessary to insert the card into your terminal. It is important to have your mobile unlocked, in case you cannot access with your card because you do not remember the PIN, you will have to contact your operator to unlock it.
Configure your SIM security options
Once inside, go to 'Settings', enter the 'Security and privacy' option and go to the end, where it says 'Additional settings'. Now, enter the option of 'encryption and credentials'. Finally, in the option of remaining 'SIM lock settings. If your device has Dual Sim, you will see that there are two options, SIM 1 and SIM 2. If you have only inserted a SIM card in the terminal, only one option will be activated. This is where you can configure your SIM card privacy settings.
We can activate or deactivate the code lock. In this way, when the phone is turned on it will not ask us. If you only want to change the pin, click on the second option. Now, enter the card's PIN, click on 'accept' and now enter the new code. It will ask you to enter it one more time. The change is done automatically, you will not have to do anything.
