Clearing the application and system cache can be an effective method of freeing up the internal memory of useless space. In the case of Huawei phones, the process to follow to clear the cache is similar in most of the brand's phones. Since Honor, Huawei's sister brand, has EMUI, the process is equally applicable on the Chinese manufacturer's phones. Weeks ago we showed you some tricks to improve the performance of a Huawei mobile. This time we will teach you how to delete the cache on Huawei in a simple way without resorting to root or third-party applications.
The methods that we will see below are compatible with practically all Huawei and Honor phones. Huawei P20, P20 Lite, P20 Pro, P8 Lite 2017, P9 Lite, P10, P8, Y5, Y6, Y7, Y9, Mate 10 Lite, Mate 20 Lite, Mate 20, Mate 10, P30, P30 Lite and P Smart, among others.
Clear application cache on Huawei
The first step that we will have to take to free up space on the internal memory is to clear the cache of the applications. To do this, we will go to the Settings application and click on the Applications section.
Then we will click on Applications again and we will select the applications that occupy more space in memory, space that we can see just below the name of the application in MB. To delete the cache of each of the apps, just click on Storage and finally on Clear cache.
If we want to increase the available space even more, we can click on Delete storage to delete all the application data, although in this case we will have to reconfigure it or enter our user data in case it requires an account to function, such as WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
Is there a way to clear the cache of all applications at the same time? Affirmative. Another method that from Tuexpertomóvil.com we recommend to carry out is to use the Cleaning application. Within Settings we will go to Storage and click on Clean. Then the system cleaner will be activated through an application that should show us the number of applications installed. Just click on this option and then on Clean to clear the cache of all applications in one sitting.
Clear system cache on Huawei
The steps outlined above are for clearing the application cache. To eliminate the cache memory of the system, that is, of the native Android and Huawei applications, as well as the processes housed in memory, we will have to resort to a very different method that consists of starting the phone in Recovery mode to run the corresponding tool.
With the mobile off, we will press the Power and Volume buttons up at the same time until the brand logo appears. From now on we will only have to press and hold the Volume button above until a menu like the one we can see just below this paragraph appears.
The last step is to press on the option Empty cache partition, either through the screen or with the Volume up and Volume down buttons and the Power button to select the actions. Then we will confirm the operation and wait for the mobile to run the cleaning tool.
When the task is finished, we will restart the phone through the corresponding option.
