Advertising, that eternal enemy for Internet users. Although it is necessary to maintain most websites and mobile applications, it can sometimes be intensive, largely degenerating the user experience of the application or page in question. This is even more aggravated in mobiles, where the size of the screen and the power is less than in a computer. Fortunately, there are easy ways to block Android app ads without root. This time we will see how to do it through a simple free application.
So you can remove ads from Android applications without root
It seems counterproductive that to remove advertising from applications on the Android system we need to resort to external applications. And it is that if until very recently it was necessary to resort to root, today it is possible to do it with a simple app.
This particular application is called Blokada, and it can be downloaded for free from the Play Store. Once we have installed it on our mobile, we will open it and provide all the relevant permissions. Then, we will activate the different options that appear in the application: Keep active, Only connected and Start at startup.
Now we can activate the service in question by clicking on the on and off icon. A VPN will be automatically created for us (we recommend you take a look at this article to see how a VPN network works) to filter the Internet results that will appear on the mobile, however, the advertising of the applications that let's make use of. To do so, we will click on the DNS icon next to the Info icon and select the DNS AdGuard option.
Finally we will turn off and on the VPN through the application's power button and now, all the advertising from Google will be automatically blocked on our mobile. Best of all, this lock also applies when browsing any browser application. Of course, we recommend deactivating it if you want incentives to work on pages like this one, although this decision is up to your own choice (you can add applications to the white list in the homonymous option so that advertising is displayed on them).
Finally, we must mention that the Blokada is likely to consume more battery than the account due to the VPN network, although under our tests we have not had any type of problem.
