There comes a time in a person's life when they have to face reality, even if it hurts us. Eyestrain arrives, presbyopia, and there is no way we can focus well up close. Impossible. Our five or six-inch mobile looks, at the time, like our old Nokia 3310s, with their tiny screens. Sending a WhatsApp is an impossible task. See the icons at certain times and with a certain diminished brightness, difficult mission. We have to admit it, we see less than three on a donkey.
And what can we do, then, to be able to increase the size of the text and icons of our Android mobile? Android allows, by default, to vary the text of what we see on the screen, even the size of the full screen, although not in the case of icons. To do this, we can download a third-party application called Nova Launcher with which we will have a wide variety of customization options for your phone. But first things first. How can we increase the text of your mobile phone? It is very simple. Do not lose detail of the tutorial below.
How to change Android text size
Depending on the brand of phone you have, the way to change the text on the screen may be different. For example, if you use Pure Android on a Pixel phone, the route to make that change can vary compared to, for example, a Xiaomi phone. As an example, we will use a Xiaomi phone. Keep in mind, however, that it is usually similar on all phones, you just have to look for related settings on your phone.
First, we are going to go to the settings icon, that application that allows us to go to the guts of the phone and that looks like a gear.
Now we have to look for the 'Screen' section and, within it, 'Text size'. On the screen that will appear next, a guide will appear that you can slide to make the text larger and a preview screen so you can see how it looks. And that's it.
How to change screen size on Android
Starting with Android Nougat, Google gave the user the opportunity to change the entire size of the screen. If you have a mobile with an unmodified android layer, such as Motorola or Google Pixel, you can modify the full screen size. In other words, not only does the size of the icons change but also all the elements that appear on the screen. To do this, you have to go into 'Settings', 'Settings' and 'Screen'.

But if what you want is to modify only and exclusively the icons of the applications, we will have to use a third-party application and in a premium version. First, we are going to install Nova Launcher. When we have it installed, we press the start button and indicate that, from that moment, this is our default launcher.
Next, in the application drawer, we look for the 'Settings' of Nova Launcher and we go to the 'Desktop' section. Inside 'Desktop', 'Customize icons'.
To enjoy this feature, you must have the paid version of Nova Launcher. Its price is 5.25 euros and you will have access to a multitude of new configurations.
On this screen you can configure the size by sliding the guide to the sides. You can also change the label of the font, its color and add shadow to the text if you prefer.
