In some devices this option is hidden and others do not directly have a way to activate the radio. Has it happened to you with your Xiaomi? If you have not received any update to solve this problem, you can try this little trick to have FM on your device.
How to activate FM radio on Xiaomi
To perform this trick we will have to access a hidden Xiaomi menu that gives information about the integrated components of the system. There are two ways to get to this Xiaomi CIT menu.
One way is to go to Settings >> About phone and scroll down to “Kernel Version”. You will have to touch this option 5 times to enter CIT.
Another option is to go to the phone app and dial * # * # 6484 # * # * as you see in the first image:
Do not worry that you will not be calling anyone or consuming credit since it is only an internal code that will direct us to the menu we want. Once there you just have to scroll until you find the option "FM" or "FM Radio" as you see in the second image.
In the example it is in option 18, but do not be guided by this detail as it will depend on the model. For example, in Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite it is usually shown in option number 30. When you choose that option you will see the screen of the third image.
When you connect the headset you will see the "OK" or "Approved" button is enabled. And just by selecting it, the option "FM" or "FM Radio" is left with a green check in the list confirming that it is enabled.
To consider
One detail to keep in mind is that this option does not work in all Xiaomi nor is it implemented in the same way. Some users have only had to perform this step once, since the default radio app has been enabled and others have turned to FM apps from Google Play.
And in other Xiaomi devices there is only the option of repeating this step every time you want to listen to FM by manually searching for stations from this interface.
