There are a number of situations why you might want to record a phone call. We are not here to judge the reasons but to learn how to do it, especially if you have a Xiaomi phone for personal use. Thanks to the customization layer of these phones, known to all as MIUI, we can activate call recording whenever we want and deactivate it, of course in the same way. However, before making the recording of any call, check the legislation in this regard, lest you are committing an illegality.
If you have a Xiaomi mobile and you want to activate the recording of calls, we are going to carry out the following steps.
Notice: not all Xiaomi phones show the options that we detail below. If you cannot find the menu of the three lines, it is because your model does not have this option to record calls.- We enter the 'Telephone' calling application .
- Inside, we look at the numeric keyboard and look at the left side, where we will click on the three-striped menu
- On the next screen, we enter ' Call recording '. Here we will be able to say that we are notified when we record the call and that the recording is done automatically, being able to choose 'all the phones' or only the ones you want.
Now that you know how to activate call recording on a Xiaomi phone, it would be interesting if we showed you how to find the recording file that has been created. And it is that MIUI, in this aspect, does not make it easy for us. To have the call recordings located, we are going to carry out the following steps.
Search, among the mobile applications, a call ' File manager '. With this application we will have access to the files that you have inside your mobile phone.
- Look closely at the top of the application, you will see four icons. Tap on the one shaped like a folder. Here you can browse the folders on your phone, looking for the recording file.
- In the list of folders below choose one called MIUI
- Inside the MIUI folder we have another called ' Sound_recorder '. Get into it.
- Inside here, in turn, you will find another folder called 'Call_rec'.
- In that folder you will find the phone calls that you have recorded.
Now, it would be convenient that you rename them so that you do not confuse them. To do this, keep the file pressed, click on 'More' and choose 'Rename'.
