Google always has a nice wink with its versions of Android. Each of them has its own Easter egg, a small game or animation (depends on the version) that is hidden within the phone's own settings. Android 8 Oreo is no exception. The renewal of the Google system includes a nice addition that you can find without too much difficulty. We are lucky to already have one of the first mobiles with this operating system in our hands, the Sony Xperia XZ1. We tell you how to activate the hidden game of Android 8 Oreo (easter egg) and we show you in a simple video how it is.
Steps to activate the hidden game of Android 8 Oreo
As we have said, the easter egg is hidden within the phone's settings menu. If you have already found it in other versions, the steps to follow are the same. First, you have to go to the Mobile Settings menu. Here what interests us is the System section. Once inside, we have to press on the Phone Information. In this menu you can see different information about the status of the equipment, the model or the Android version.
Precisely, the section where the easter egg is hidden is in the Android version. Here we can also check that we have the mobile updated to Android 8 Oreo. The key is to press repeatedly on this section until the screen goes black. Now we will see a kind of white button appear surrounded by two yellow circles. This is not the easter egg itself, but an intermediate step. To activate it, press the button repeatedly and then keep it pressed for a couple of seconds without releasing it.
Now yes, we will be facing the Easter egg of Android 8 Oreo. A friendly black octopus or jellyfish in what appears to be the sea. The grace is that his head is reminiscent of the shape of the Oreo cookie. If we press on its head we can lengthen it and take it through the entire screen. As we say, it is a simple wink that Google has left. It will not go down in history as the funniest of those that the company has brought us, but this type of wink to the user is appreciated.
