Movistar has launched a new service that will pay you for your old mobile in exchange for buying a new one. This is Buyback, which will be available until September 4. The service does not have any kind of permanence. Furthermore, if the user finds the cheapest terminal to purchase, the operator will refund the difference. In any case, not all the mobiles available in Movistar are included, only some specific models.
The process to enjoy Buyback is as simple as going to any Movistar store, where your old mobile will be appraised, to later apply a discount on the purchase of a new one. As we say, the operator will always return the difference in price if you find the cheapest phone in another establishment. The refund will be made through bank transfer after the purchase of one of the selected mobiles.
The mobiles that are part of this new service, available both on the company's website and in stores, are the following:
- Huawei P Smart Z: 230 euros
- Huawei P30: 500 euros
- Huawei P30 Pro 256 GB: 700 euros
- LG Q60: 220 euros
- Xiaomi Mi 9 SE (64 GB): 300 euros
- Samsung Galaxy A80: 580 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S10e: 550 euros
- Sony Xperia 10: 250 euros
- Sony Xperia L3: 170 euros
The operator has also commented that customers who purchase a Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 + before September 4, will also be able to enjoy an extra discount of 100 to 150 euros on the final price. If we also add to this the amount that Movistar will deduct from us for delivering our old mobile, it is undoubtedly an excellent opportunity to change phones.
Remember that you have until September 4 to benefit from Buyback. We do not know if the operator will introduce other models different from those mentioned above, or will be limited to these. Given that September 4 is less than a month away, we imagine that we will have to decide between one of them if or if.
