For months we have known details of the Samsung Galaxy X, which will be the first folding mobile device of the South Korean company. This terminal has been leaked in renders, we have been able to know patents with different models and even some of their technical specifications. Samsung confirmed that they were working on this device, but the good news is that it will arrive this year.
DJ Koh, director of Samsung's telephony unit has confirmed the arrival of this folding mobile at the end of this year. According to SamMobile, the company plans to launch this mobile model on the market, since according to Samsung surveys there is a high level of interest among consumers. At the moment, the exact date of the launch of this mobile is unknown. But it is likely to launch during the month of November, when Samsung organizes an event for developers.
A mobile that becomes a tablet
We also know details of the terminal confirmed by DJ Koh. Although this has already been leaked on occasion. When the mobile is extended, a Tablet (approximately 7 inches) will form, perfect for browsing or viewing multimedia content. If it bends, we can use the device for more basic tasks, as if it were a mobile phone. It is something similar to what ZTE has done with its Axon M, a folding mobile that is already on the market, and that becomes a kind of Tablet with different positions. The South Korean company has not confirmed whether this folding mobile will be thanks to a hinge in the central area, or with some technology that allows the panel to be folded. But there is little left to know these details.
Of course, the CEO of Samsung Mobile has not announced any features, such as screen size, processor, camera… Neither has it done with the price, so we will have to wait until the day of its presentation.
