The Spanish manufacturer BQ today presented a new variant of the BQ Aquaris E5, a smartphone that hit stores in the middle of this year. This new variant responds to the name of BQ Aquaris E5 4G, and in addition to being a terminal that incorporates 4G LTE connectivity (ultra-fast Internet), another of its novelties lies in the change of the MediaTek processor for a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The BQ Aquaris E5 4G will be available in stores in Spain as of November 28 for a price of 220 euros; let us know more about its characteristics.
The BQ Aquaris E5 4G is presented with a display of five inches (housed in a panel IPS) to reach a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, thus giving rise to a pixel density in the set screen 294 ppi. The design of the Aquaris E5 4G has no significant change with respect to mobile above this range, and measures reach 143.15 x 72.15 x 8.7 mm with a weight of 139 grams. The available housing colors also remain two: black and white.
Inside the BQ Aquaris E5 4G we find one of the most important differences of this new smartphone compared to the previous BQ Aquaris E5. The processor is housed inside corresponds to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 of four cores, with technology 64 bits and type cores Core A53 - operating at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz, which is a remarkable improvement compared to the MediaTek processors that mounted the two versions of the previous Aquaris E5 (both the HD version and the FHD version). All this accompanied by a Qualcomm Adreno 306 graphics processor.
In addition to the processor, the capacity of the RAM memory is 1 GigaByte, while the internal storage space reaches 16 GigaBytes, expandable through an external microSD memory card.
The main chamber of the BQ Aquaris E5 4G incorporates a sensor of 13 megapixels with autofocus and LED flash. The secondary camera, occupying the front position in the phone houses a sensor five megapixel. In addition to the 2,850 mAh battery capacity, the rest of the connectivity of this smartphone consists of WiFi connectivity, 3G / 4G connectivity, GPS connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and FM Radio.
Although the operating system that the BQ Aquaris E5 4G has installed as standard corresponds to Android in its version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, BQ has promised to update this mobile to the most recent version of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Presumably, this update will not come true until next year 2015, since that is when the rest of the manufacturers will begin to distribute it among their high-end mobiles.
