The update to Android 9.0 is being slower than normal in most of the telephone companies. Currently there are few mobiles that have updated to the latest version of Android. Precisely today BQ has announced the opening of the Android 9 Pie beta program for the BQ Aquaris X2 and X2 Pro, the two flagships of the Spanish company that currently has Android Oreo 8.1 under the Android One update program, thanks to which we can count on software updates for two years and security patches for at least three.
So you can sign up for the Android 9 Pie closed beta for the BQ Aquaris X2 and X2 Pro
This morning BQ finally announced the arrival of the well-known Android 9.0 beta program for its two most important mid-range. The program in question opens as of today, and as the company is accustomed to us, it is a program with a limited number of places. The process to register is very simple.
In the first place, we must read the bases and general conditions of the program to make sure that all the points are met. Broadly speaking, BQ stresses that to enter the beta we must report its bugs periodically through the forums on the BQ page. It also explains that we will not be able to give details of the features and new features implemented in Android 9.0 to other users beyond the company's private forum. Failure to comply with these two conditions could result in immediate expulsion from the program. If we agree to these, then we can proceed to register.
To do so, we must click on any of the two links below and follow the instructions specified on the page:
Once we are registered, we must update to the latest software version available to receive the update via OTA (Over The Air) correctly. In the event that we do not receive any updates after a period of two days, BQ specifies that we must contact one of the forum moderators to activate our model correctly.
If by any chance we want to leave the beta program at any time, we will have to contact a BQ forum moderator again to demand that we cancel the service. Later we will have to do a Hard Reset to return to the version prior to the beta, which in this case is Android Oreo 8.1.
