Vodafone adds a new BlackBerry mobile to its catalog of offers. It is an entry-level device that combines a full QWERTY keyboard and a screen, which in this case is not touch. In other words, RIM continues with its most classic designs. It is the new BlackBerry Curve 9220, a smartphone that can be obtained with the red operator from zero euros. Of course, as long as it is a current client of the company.
In the first place, this smartphone can be obtained for zero euros as long as the current customer contracts one of the following Vodafone size rates: @S, @M, @M Premium, @L or @XL. All of them combine calls and Internet browsing and the monthly fees for each of them are as follows: 32 euros, 40 euros, 50 euros, 60 euros and 80 euros, respectively.
Meanwhile, there are also two more affordable size rates that have a monthly fee of 20 and 15 euros. These are the @XS or @XS 8 rates. With them, the price of the terminal will be 20 euros in the first case and 80 euros in the second. And in all cases, a contract of permanence of 18 months will be signed.
Meanwhile, new customers can get hold of this BlackBerry Curve 9220 in two ways. The first of them would be making a single payment of 144 euros at the time of hiring the rate. Or, if you prefer, the payment can be divided into twelve months. The first installment would be 15 euros and the remaining amount would be divided over a full year with a 10.7 euro installment to be added to the amount of the chosen rate.
Likewise, Vodafone also informs that users who do not want any commitment with the operator, there is also the possibility of getting the equipment through a prepaid package. That is, the user consumes what he recharges on the assigned telephone number. In this case, the BlackBerry Curve 9220 will cost 160 euros.
Technical characteristics
This smartphone belongs to the low range of the Canadian company. And it is aimed at an audience that wants to easily manage their email accounts or like to give instant messaging services. Hence, in recent times, the younger public has decided that these types of terminals are the ones that attract their attention the most.
It has a 2.44 inch screen "" is not touch "" and a full keyboard to write comfortably. In addition, inside there is a 512 MB space to store files, although MicroSD cards of up to 32 GigaBytes more can also be used, with which you can carry a good number of songs or save all the photographs that are taken with your camera two mega-pixel photos; a camera that is nothing to write home about, but that the client can use in some cases to get out of trouble. Of course, the quality will have nothing to do with what can be achieved with high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Finally, the operating system that is added is known as BlackBerry OS 7.1, the latest icons of the Canadian company. But, for the moment, nothing has to do with mobile platforms such as Android or Apple's iOS, where the prominence of the large number of applications available for download from different online stores has nothing to do with what it offers BlackBerry App World.
