Xiaomi has a battery of terminals that seems inexhaustible. We have from lower or entry-level ranges to terminals intended to compete with the high-end. But today in particular we are interested in one of its most special and striking terminals. The Black Shark 2 is a smartphone intended for the gamer field, yes you read that correctly. It is designed for the most gamers, those people who want the highest and best performance when playing games on their mobile.
To convince gamers users, Xiaomi has devised a very complete terminal in its hardware section and with a striking design. We cannot anticipate talking about its performance, but due to its specifications we can risk saying that you will not have any problem when moving next-generation games such as PUBG or Fortnite and therefore it will not cost you to move common applications. We tell you all the details of the Black Shark 2.
Black Shark 2, pure power for gamers
Inside the Black Shark, under its metallic chassis we find a processor signed by Qualcomm. It's the Snapdragon 855, a 7 nanometer built processor with eight cores. These eight cores would be grouped into four 1.8GHz cores, they are low-power Cortex ARM for less demanding tasks. Then we would have three cores for more demanding tasks, they would run at a speed of 2.4Ghz. Finally, a core with a peak speed of 2.8GHz.
Accompanying this processor is the Adreno 640 graphic. In addition, we will have 8GB RAM in its basic model and 12GB in its most advanced model. In both models we will have 256GB of non-expandable storage. Leaving aside the technical specifications, it is a complete terminal with a lot of power. Xiaomi has thought of everything, since it is going to be a terminal destined to play in it, it has included a cooling system. This system is liquid cooling, its name is Direct Touch Liquid Cooling System 3.0, it is implemented in the GPU and CPU to reduce its temperature up to 14 degrees Celsius.
Power without autonomy is of little use. The Black Shark 2 is powered by a 4000 mAh battery, being a considerable amount it can fall short considering the audience for which the terminal is intended. That is why Xiaomi has included fast charging of 27 watts, you can charge very quickly in a short time. Depending on the brand, with only five minutes of charging we will have up to half an hour of play. So taking this data into account we can get up to a day or a day and a half of use with the terminal, but if we fall short with a quick plug-in we can manage.
Aggressive design typical of the gaming sector
Any gaming product or product intended for gamers must have a striking and aggressive design. They are practically the most characteristic of this type of product, the Black Shark 2 does not disappoint in this regard. Its front is more traditional, it does not even have a notch. It is a 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with FullHD + resolution, with a refresh rate of 43.5 milliseconds. Xiaomi claims that it is the panel with the lowest latency of all smartphones. The highlight of the front is the double speaker that allows you to have stereo sound.
By turning the terminal we find the magic gamer. A rear built in metal with different textures and lines. In itself, at first glance it may appear to be made up of different pieces or that the terminal has a bumper cover. Beyond reality, the terminal has been designed to be comfortable in the hand despite its large size and weight. Regarding the connectivity section, we find everything to be expected: NFC, USB C 2.0, Dual WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / GLONASS, but we do not have a headphone port.
Price and availability
Xiaomi has not commented anything about the arrival of this terminal to the Spanish market. For the moment they will stay in their country of origin and in the few selected to receive it. Prices are made to change and therefore will be updated once your arrival is confirmed. For the 8GB RAM model it would be approximately 500 euros and for the 12GB RAM model the amount would go up to 600 euros.
