It is a reality for everyone that most modern flagship smartphones have a battery life that leaves a lot to be desired. Although processors are becoming more and more energy efficient, their efforts are not worth much when combined with small batteries. For this reason, when telephones with outstanding autonomy are introduced to the market, it is news that we welcome with open arms. This is the case now of the Asus ZenFone Max M2 and Max Pro M2, two new mobiles that boast a large battery (4,000 and 5,000 mAh, respectively). They will go on sale in India next week.
The two models are very similar in terms of performance. We do see some differences in terms of design. If you look at the cover image, both offer a nearly frameless design with a notch on the screen. But while the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 has a smaller notch, the Max M2 is slightly more prominent. Both come with a 6.26-inch panel, with Full HD + resolution for the vitamin version (with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection) and HD + for the standard model.
Inside the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 there is room for a . The device will land in several different configurations: 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of space, or 4 or 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. For its part, the Max M2 is powered by a SoC along with a RAM of 3 or 4 GB and a space of 32 or 64 GB. With regard to the photographic section, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 also fares better. The terminal includes a double sensor of 12 and 5 megapixels with LED flash and a secondary sensor of 13 megapixels for selfies. The Max M2 also has a double camera on the back, in its case 13 and 2 megapixels, and a front camera with 8 megapixels resolution.
As reported by the company, both phones promise to offer around two days of uninterrupted use on a single charge, something that will have to be verified in more detail. For the rest, they are also governed by Android 8.1 Oreo, although everything indicates that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 may be updated to Android 9 Pie next month. The devices will go on sale in India next week, although their presence in other markets is not ruled out. We will be very aware of if they arrive in Europe. Its price could start from 170 euros to change.
