The French company Archos continues to bet on Google's Android tablets. The next family that will appear on the market is the one they have baptized under the name of Archos ELEMENTS. And the first to reach the Spanish market will be the Archos 97 Carbon. Within the family, and according to the company, there will also be seven and eight-inch models.
Archos 97 Carbon is a tablet based on the latest Google icons: Android 4.0. In addition, its design is made of aluminum, and the thickness it achieves is 12 millimeters. Meanwhile, the screen is multi type five points and has a diagonal of 9.7 inches achieving a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. In addition, it uses IPS technology with which you will have a better viewing angle.
On the other hand, and unlike what can be seen in the market, Archos has not wanted to integrate a last generation processor, but in this model has included a single-core processor with a working frequency of one GHz. To this we will have to add a RAM of one GigaByte. Also, the internal memory of this tablet will be 16 GigaBytes to be able to save all kinds of files. But if space is low, you can always use MicroSD cards of up to 32 GB more. Or, having a standard USB port, you can use USB sticks or hard drives.
Archos also comments that this model ”” Archos 97 Carbon ”” will come with two cameras: on the front there will be a 0.3 Megapixel sensor ”” VGA resolution ””, while on the back ”” and being this the main one "" will be a camera with a two mega-pixel sensor with which to take pictures or record videos. According to the French, this model is capable of reproducing high definition content of up to 1,080 pixels through its HDMI port and connected to a compatible television.
On the other hand, Android 4.0, which will be responsible for giving life to the invention, will have full access to the Google Play application store "" old Android Market "" with which the user can download more than half a million applications and try them on the tablet to get the most out of it. It should be remembered that the first French models had access to an alternative store "" created by Archos herself "" but that it was very limited.
Finally, in Spain this Archos 97 Carbon ”” the first of the Archos ”ELEMENTS series will arrive this July at a price of 250 euros. Of course, it should be said that other rivals plan to go on the market in the coming months. Perhaps the most acclaimed model is the one that Google presented a few weeks ago: Nexus 7. There will be two models: eight and 16 GB of space. Their prices will be 200 and 250 euros, respectively. And they will be available in Spain from September.
