Apple is updating its Maps application little by little. The new iPhone 5 was presented: a new smartphone with a longer screen that reaches four inches. Among the most notable features of this version are the possibility of finding information on more than 80 million places of interest, being able to find information on public transport in the city where the client is, or being able to see photographs of the sites to visit thanks to Google Street View.
The user interface is simple and very intuitive. In addition, the maps have the main role on the screen, leaving only a top bar where you can do the relevant searches or plan a route in advance. Among the options provided by Google Maps for iPhone is the possibility of choosing to make the journey by car, on foot or by public transport.
Meanwhile, the version that Mountain View have launched is exclusively suitable for the smallest equipment in the sector: iPhone and iPod Touch; the iPad, for the moment, has been left out. Similarly, Google has reported that they expect this to be the first version of their official application, and that they are already working on future versions and updates to improve their extensive database even more. Among the future improvements, it is my possible that an application can be found that is perfectly adapted to the Cupertino tablet.
Lastly, Google is quite committed to the services it provides to iOS users. A clear example: version 2.0 of its e-mail manager was recently launched : GMail, one of the most adapted options to consult ”” and manage ”” e-mail if you are a user of the services of the Internet giant.
