While waiting to know what Apple wants to show us tomorrow, January 19, hopes that it will be then when it shows the iPad 3 are slim. The latest reports indicate that it will be an event related to the publishing and educational sector, where a tool related to iBooks that has already been defined - with more or less a load of enthusiasm - will be known as the GarageBand for books.
While we make time to know exactly what news Cupertino has in store for us in this regard, we have a new batch of rumors and speculation about the third generation of tablets that shook the foundations of the sector. We are not going to refer to its benefits but, again, to a possible date for the Californian firm to make it known.
According to the Japanese site Macotakara, and after consulting Asian and American sources, it seems that the new Apple tablet will be presented in early February. This is supported by the Japanese media, after making sure that, indeed, those from Cupertino would have scheduled a presentation event for the beginning of next month, although among the plans that they confirm from Macotakara they have not found express allusions to the new iPad.
On the other hand, the Japanese website does not refer to the fact that the launch will also take place in February. They recall that, because of the Chinese New Year celebrations, production at Foxconn and Pegasus would be paralyzed, so the amount of units needed to support the global launch of the device would not be ready supposedly. That being the case, they point out from Macotakara that the iPad 3 would go on sale in March, despite being presented in February.
Last year, the iPad 2 was presented on March 2, going on sale a couple of weeks later in some markets - in Spain it was not available until March 25 -. But in 2010, when we saw the first edition of the tablet, the device was presented in January, although it was not put on sale, in two batches, until April of the same year - first the Wi-Fi model and then the that combined double connectivity -.
