If we were to review all the rumors that appeared before the official presentation of Apple's iPhone 6 we would see that most of the information revolved around the sapphire screen. And it is that, before we knew the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, many rumors assumed that the next smartphone from the American company Apple would incorporate a screen made of sapphire, a material much more resistant than conventional sheets. In the end it was not like that, and this time a new series of rumors indicates that the first smartphone to incorporate the sapphire screen will be the next iPhone 6S., the successor to current Apple phones.
But to know the origins of these new rumors, we must first discover the story behind the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It turns out that, from the outset, it was discovered that Apple had planned to incorporate sapphire screens in both versions of its new iPhone 6. But due to logistics problems, Apple could not handle the sapphire itself and decided to hire an outside company for this process.
And this is where the problems started. The company, GT Advanced, not only was not able to meet the demand for sapphire displays that Apple needed, but also the sapphire units that arrived at the Cupertino factories were defective and could not be used at all. As if that were not enough, the company GT Advanced also starred in an alleged leak of information regarding the new iPhone 6, which led Apple to impose a penalty of several million euros for revealing secrets.
Now that the iPhone 6 production process has passed, and probably with the lesson learned, Apple has apparently begun to build a new factory dedicated exclusively to the production of sapphire screens, as pointed out by the US website Bloomberg . Presumably this factory will not only cover the production of sapphire displays for the Apple Watch, but Apple could also start producing sapphire displays for its next iPhone 6S (or iPhone 7).
But beyond the rumors and the leaks, talking about the iPhone 6S is still quite rash, especially considering that Apple seems to have strengthened its measures against information leaks. So we probably won't know any official data about your next smartphone until shortly before its launch. Of course, we will always have a look at the leaks and the data from Asian countries, where they reveal news such as a possible double-lens system that could incorporate the camera of the next iPhone 6S as standard.
