Apparently Apple is cutting orders for parts to make the iPad 2. This is commented by an analyst at the JPMorgan company, which has said that those in Cupertino have placed a lower order from some of their Asian suppliers, especially from Hon Hai, the main assembly company of Apple products. And it is that if in the past quarter an order of 17 million units has been placed, in this last quarter they have been reduced by 25 percent, reaching 13 million units.
With these data on the table, the first rumors are already beginning to appear. And of course, the iPad 3 -the third generation of Apple tablets- is the one that comes to light. For the next year 2012, Apple should present its new touch tablet. Hence this cut in orders for the current model: iPad 2. Although, of course, also it has been a major reason the current economic crisis we are experiencing today.
But the rumors about the new version of the iPad is not just this production cut from the current model. But a few days ago, a section was discussed and discovered among the code of Apple's Xcode development environment where reference was made to the compatibility with new quad-core ARM processors. Therefore, Apple could be working on mobile devices that equip an A6 processor, leaving aside the current dual-core Apple A5.
Next year 2012, new models of touch tablets will continue to appear and Android is going strong, taking up to 50 percent of the market share in Spain, for example. In addition, companies like NVIDIA have already commented that there will be touch tablets with powerful processors from their platform and that they would have four processing cores.
