The Chinese company, Oppo, will launch the new Reno family in a few days. These devices will arrive with a very special feature that was already announced at the past Mobile World Congress: a 10x zoom. So far, the Huawei P30 Pro is the only terminal on the market to include a lens capable of 10x hybrid zoom. The Oppo Reno could also arrive with this zoom. New images and specs of a slightly tighter variant have been leaked.
This would be a somewhat more limited version, with a less powerful processor and not including the 10x zoom lens. The Oppo Reno would arrive with a new sliding camera design, which would provide a full screen with hardly any frames. In the new images, this mechanism cannot be observed, but some readers do show what it would be like . The back of the Oppo Reno, which looks like glass, will arrive with curved sides and a double main camera in the center. It will be accompanied by an LED flash and of course, the company logo. We don't see a fingerprint reader, so we're hinting that it's directly on the screen.
Oppo Reno, technical specifications
The Oppo Reno will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, an eight-core processor that could come with up to 8 GB of RAM and 156 GB of internal storage. It would have a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel and Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). As for the camera, it would have a dual lens resolution of 40 and 5 megapixels. The front would be 16 megapixels. Finally, it will arrive with an autonomy of 3680 mAh, although we could see a version with more RAM and autonomy.
Oppo could present a model from the Reno range with a 10x zoom camera. This would be more powerful, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. In addition, it would arrive with 5G connectivity. The new catalog of devices will be launched on April 10.
