Although in recent weeks a multitude of rumors related to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini have been appearing, it was not until today that we have been able to definitively confirm the existence of this new smartphone through filtered photographs. There is no longer any doubt: the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is a reality, and much of its technical specifications have also been leaked practically in its entirety.
The first thing to know is that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will be the compact version of the Samsung Galaxy S5, just as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was the Samsung Galaxy S4. According to initial reports, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a screen of 4.5 inches with resolution Super AMOLED (ie 720 pixels resolution) and modern protection Gorilla Glass 3 (ie the additional layer gives greater resistance screens against bumps and accidental drops). The appearance of this new terminal will be practically identical to the Samsung Galaxy S5, and in fact technical specifications such as resistance to water and dust will be preserved through IP67 certification.
Inside the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini everything it seems to indicate that we will find a processor Exynos three of four cores that will run at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Along with the processor there will be a RAM memory of 1.5 GigaBytes of capacity and an internal storage of 16 GigaBytes expandable by means of an external microSD memory card. The operating system installed as standard will be Android in its latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
In the multimedia aspect we find a main camera whose sensor will be eight megapixels. This sensor will also be accompanied by an LED flash, as in the Samsung Galaxy S5. On the front of the terminal there will be another secondary camera that will incorporate a 2.1 megapixel sensor , which should be more than enough for the user to take self-profile photos and make video calls.
Now, from here on, two unknowns appear. The first of them is the presentation date, in which we will know if all these technical specifications really correspond to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. Rumors indicate that this smartphone could be presented next June 12 at an event that, in principle, the South Korean company Samsung has organized with the intention of presenting a new range of tablets.
Another big question is the starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. Taking into account that the Samsung Galaxy S5 cost approximately 700 euros at its launch, everything makes us think that in this case we will find a price that should rarely fall below 500 euros.
