The official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is scheduled for September 3, but the South Korean company Samsung has just starred in a leak in which the exact details of the camera of this new smartphone have been revealed. This information, as well as confirm that the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have 16 megapixels and incorporate optical image stabilizer (OIS), has also allowed us to know that the maximum resolution of the pictures taken with this camera will reach 5,312 x 2,988 pixels, while the videoswill reach a maximum resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels at a rate of 30 frames per second.
But the leaked information does not end there. The sensor built into the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Sony IMX240 model) is the same as the one that comes standard with the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A, the improved version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 that is expected to arrive soon in Europe. The difference with the sensor of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A would be that the Note 4 will also incorporate an optical stabilizer, which in short will guarantee a higher quality in the photographs taken with the main camera.
On the other hand, the leak also confirms that Samsung will include Side Touch technology in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Side Touch is a technology that allows you to take pictures by pressing the right side of the mobile with your finger without actually having any physical camera button. That is, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would recognize the movement of our finger on the housing as if we were pressing a physical button, allowing us to take pictures without pressing the screen. This novelty would be limited to conventional photographs, while to take -for example- panoramic photographs we would have to resort to the usual pressing method (that is, click on the “take photo” icon on the screen).
In addition to technology Side Touch, the camera application of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also incorporate other innovations such as the option to create GIFs (from a series of photographs), the option to remove fuzzy objects from a photograph or option taking pictures and recording videos with the main camera and the front camera at the same time. To these options would be added new features related to accessing the camera from the screen in the locked state, allowing the user to open the camera simply by sliding their fingers on the screen even if it is locked.
As for the secondary camera, the filter ensures that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come with a 3.7 megapixel front camera which will take photos and videos with a resolution of type WQHD (ie, 2,560 x 1,440 pixels).
Recall that the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is scheduled for the next day on September 3, shortly before the celebration of the technological event IFA 2014 to be held in the city of Berlin (Germany) between days 5 and 10 September. Is expected to Note 4 will come with technical specifications among which are a screen of 5.7 inches (with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution), a processor Exynos 5433 of eight cores, 3 gigabytes of memory RAMand 64 GigaBytes of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).
