After a small pause in the rumors related to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, the South Korean company Samsung has once again starred in a leak in which we have been able to know the appearance of what, in principle, will be the compact version of the Samsung Galaxy S5. At first glance it seems that we are facing a version that retains an identical design compared to the Galaxy S5, although in this case we would be talking about a mobile whose screen would have a size of 4.5 inches (with 720 pixels of resolution).
And it is precisely the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will become a new compact version (that is, a smaller version) of the Samsung Galaxy S5, something that has already happened with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and its respective Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. In addition to the difference in the size of the screen (we would go from the 5.1 inches of the S5 to the 4.5 inches), rumors indicate that there would also be other peculiarities that would differentiate this compact version from its older brother. One of these differences lie in the chamber, which would have a sensor of 16 megapixels to have a sensor eight megapixels(also accompanied by LED flash). Of course, the water resistance certification would remain intact, so that according to the IP67 standard we would continue to be able to put the mobile in the water for a maximum of 30 minutes.
If we continue to take a look at the rumors (remember that there is no official confirmation regarding these specifications), we will see that the processor incorporated as standard in the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini would be an Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470 designation) with four cores that would work at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Along with this processor we would also have a RAM with a capacity set at 1.5 GigaBytes.
Regarding the design of this new compact version, there is little we can say beyond that it seems to be an edition that will share an almost identical appearance to the Samsung Galaxy S5. On the front we can see that the fingerprint sensor still exists, while on the back we find the same case as the one currently incorporating the flagship of the South Korean manufacturer Samsung.
Given that all this information has emerged from rumors and leaks, today it is very risky to predict a release date for this new Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. And although the price is also a mystery, if we take a look at the previous " mini " versions of the South Koreans we will see that the starting price is most likely between 400 and 500 euros. It would be a noticeably more affordable price compared to the more than 700 euros that the Samsung Galaxy S5 cost at its launch in European territory.
