It had been rumored since the beginning of the week and it seems that it is finally confirmed. After the presentation of the first Samsung mobile with Android Go, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core, the company plans to launch a new low-end mobile with the aforementioned version of the Android operating system. We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core, a terminal very similar to the J2 Core with some technical differences with the exception that it will have Android Go under Samsung's customization layer, Samsung Experience.
Samsung Galaxy A2 Core: low range at a price that could not exceed 100 euros
Samsung's plans for this 2019 seem to go hand in hand with the low and medium range. After the presentation of mobiles such as the Samsung Galaxy A10, A30 and A50, the manufacturer plans to strengthen its input range with a new device; specifically the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core.
The terminal in question, as we can see in the filtered images, will have a design practically identical to that of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core. The only differences will be found inside. And it is that according to the latest leaks on the Geekbench page, the device will have an Exynos 7870 processor (the same as the Samsung Galaxy A6), 1 GB of RAM and a storage capacity that can range between 8 and 16 GB.
The funny thing about the device is that, according to the aforementioned Geekbench website, it will come with Android Oreo 8.1 under Android Go and Samsung Experience. It remains to be seen if Samsung updates the version to Android 9 Pie after the launch of the device. As for the latter, as can be seen on the terminal's lock screen, it could arrive on March 22 at the same time that the clock specifies, that is, at 12:45 PM.
For the rest, little or nothing is known about the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core. Screen around 5 inches with 960 x 540 resolution, 8 and 5 megapixel front and rear cameras and a battery that could stay below 3,000 mAh. The price, according to our predictions, could be well below 100 euros, taking into account its data sheet. Recall that the Galaxy J2 Core was launched at an official price of 86 euros. This could start at 90 euros in the most basic version of RAM and storage.
