The HTC One M8 from the Taiwanese company HTC could have a new successor ready much sooner than we imagined. A leaked image has revealed the appearance of what could be the new HTC One M8 Mini (whose name could also be that of HTC One Mini 2, as other sources have pointed out). This new smartphone would be a somewhat simpler and cheaper version of the original HTC One M8, and its main difference would be the size of its screen (we would find a somewhat smaller panel).
To be more specific, rumors indicate that the screen of this new HTC One M8 Mini could be 4.5 inches (compared to the five inches that we can find in the HTC One M8), while the resolution would be reduced to 720 pixels.. Inside this version " Mini " we would find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 of four cores running at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, while the memory RAM offer a space of 1 gigabyte. The internal storage capacity would be16 GigaBytes, and we would still have a slot for external microSD memory cards.
Leaving aside the priceless technical specifications at first glance, what is really interesting are the visual novelties that the new HTC One M8 Mini would bring with it. Rumors suggest that we will find two major changes, and the first of them would be the disappearance of the dual camera, which would be replaced by a conventional camera whose sensor has not yet been released.
The other great novelty is related to the mobile case. The current HTC One M8 incorporates a metal casing that stands out both for its shiny appearance and for its firmness, but apparently, in the new HTC One M8 Mini this material would be replaced by a plastic casing. In relation to this data there is a lot of varied information, and some sources have dared to point out that this version with a plastic casing would correspond to another model of the HTC One M8 (a supposed HTC One M8 Ace), so -if this data is confirmed - The HTC One M8 Mini would continue to incorporate a metal casing.
Leaving aside the wide variety of rumors that have appeared in relation to a " Mini " version of the current HTC One M8, what seems to be quite clear is that, sooner or later, we will end up receiving this new edition in stores. Practically all the heavyweights of mobile telephony have a simpler and cheaper version, see for example the case of the Sony Xperia Z1 with the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact or the Samsung Galaxy S4 with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (among many other examples just as valid). If we take these terminals as a reference to try to find out the price of the HTC One M8 Mini, we could say that it will be a terminal that will be in a range of between 500 and 600 euros.
