At the beginning of last April we told you that Samsung could be preparing a mini version of the Samsung Galaxy S9. Specifically, a performance test of a model called SM-G8750 appeared. Now that same model number has appeared on TENAA, with pictures and features. And, with these data, the possibility that we are before a Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini takes on more and more force. Yes, an S8, since, as we will now see, the design is more similar to that of last year's top-of-the-line model.
Let's review the design of the Samsung SM-G8750 (we will not give it an official name for now). We see a design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8. We have a front almost all screen, with slightly curved sides. At the top is the front camera, while at the bottom, being all black, we cannot see how much frame we have. However, as we mentioned, the design reminds us a lot of that of the company's top terminal.
The rear is also practically identical to the S8. The camera (single lens) is located in the central part. The fingerprint reader, as happened last year, is placed right next to the camera. Otherwise it appears to have a glass body, also with rounded edges at the rear. Although the material used is yet to be confirmed.
Technical characteristics of the possible Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini
Although Samsung does not usually launch Mini or Lite versions of its top terminals, there is always a first time. And, to be honest, when a terminal appears on TENAA it usually hits the market. Perhaps the Korean manufacturer wants to try this year and see how a cheaper version of one of its greatest hits works.
The full dimensions of the possible Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini are 148.9 × 68.1 × 8 millimeters, with a weight of 155 grams.
In addition to showing us the possible design of the terminal, we also know some of its technical characteristics. According to the leaked information, the Samsung SM-G8750 will feature a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2,220 × 1,080 pixels.
Inside we will find a processor with eight cores. There is talk of a speed of 2.2 GHz per core, although other rumors point to a speed of 1.8 GHz. Accompanying the processor we will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
It has also been revealed that it will have a 16 megapixel main camera. On the front the camera will be 8 megapixels. As for the battery, this looks like it will be 3,000 milliamps.
For now we will have to wait to see what name this terminal finally receives. Also to know if it will arrive in Europe.
