The presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S5 was just as we expected: the South Korean company Samsung presented a terminal with a similar appearance to its predecessor and with certain new features such as, for example, a fingerprint reader. What the South Korean manufacturer did not tell us at the time is that it was working on an additional version of this smartphone. Or at least that is what recent rumors indicate that have revealed the existence of a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, which would be a simpler and cheaper version of the original terminal.
In the opinion, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is a smart phone that incorporates a screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels (the size has not been disclosed, although we imagine that will be between four and five inches). Inside was detected a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with four cores running at a clock speed of 2.3 GHz. The operating system installed as standard is Android corresponding to the version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which would show the fact that we are facing a somewhat simpler phone given that Samsungseems to have dropped the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
There is also the possibility that we are facing a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, in which case we would speak of a terminal similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini that the South Koreans have launched over the last few years. At the moment, the only thing we can say with certainty is that we have several weeks ahead of us waiting until we know if this rumor is true.
Recall that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is a terminal that incorporates a screen of 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The magic of this smartphone resides inside, where we can find a quad- core processor running at a clock speed of 2.5 GHz together with a RAM memory with a capacity of 2 GigaBytes. Regarding the internal storage, the user has the possibility to choose between two versions of 16 and 32 GigaBytes respectively, being able to also add 64 GigaBytes to this capacityof space using an external microSD memory card. In the multimedia aspect we find a main camera of 16 megapixels and a front camera (intended mainly to video calls) of 2.1 megapixels. How could it be otherwise, the operating system installed as standard is Android in its version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is around 700 euros, so in the event that a simpler version of this terminal appears, it is most likely that its price is in a range of between 400 and 500 euros. The idea of this type of version is to bring all users the possibility of using a high-end mobile with the difference that, in the case of the Mini versions, the specifications are somewhat reduced to adjust the price of the terminal.
