The mobile of the Taiwanese HTC in collaboration with the audio company Beats by Dr Dre has come to light. HTC Runnymede -that's how it is known- has a very similar appearance with the already announced HTC Titan, another mobile from the Asian manufacturer, but which has the new Microsoft icons installed inside: Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
However, HTC Runnymede will carry Android as its operating system and this will be in charge of moving all the menus under the HTC Sense user interface and the Gingerbread version of the Google platform. The existence of this new smartphone was already known, however, its design was unknown until now. The guys at PocketNow have released the first official image. In it you can see a large white touch mobile, where the absence of physical buttons and a front webcam would be the main protagonists.
On the other hand, HTC Runnymede will not be the most powerful HTC Android mobile on the market. That seat is reserved for HTC Sensation. This model will have a processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, although it will not be dual-core. On the other hand, its RAM memory will have a capacity of 768 MegaBytes, as well as, there will be two versions of this advanced mobile. It will be possible to purchase it with two different storage capacities: 16 and 32 GigaBytes.
Meanwhile, its multi-touch screen would reach a whopping 4.7 inches, although it will have nothing to do with the recent presentation of Samsung Galaxy Note that reaches 5.3 inches diagonally. The resolution of HTC Runnymede would WVGA, ie 800 x 480 pixels. Although if this model will be characterized by something, it is to come accompanied by Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
Finally, the first approximations of the prices that would be around the models in the free market have been known. On the one hand, the version with 16 GB of internal memory would be 838 dollars (about 615 euros at the current exchange rate). While the model with 32 GigaBytes of internal memory will have a price of 885 dollars (about 650 euros to change). However, HTC still says nothing about it; neither has confirmed nor denied this new smartphone.
