We already know the main novelties of Android 10 Q, the new version of Google's operating system that reaches its third beta phase today, and which will be officially launched in the autumn of this year. Android Q brings a dark mode, 5G support, flexible mobile compatibility and more news that we tell you below.
One of the main novelties of Android 10 Q is the dark mode. This can be activated through the system settings, and will allow the entire interface to be changed to a black color, friendly to the OLED panels of the devices. In this way, with Android Q and its dark mode we will save more autonomy, since all applications will change to this tone in the interface, including third-party apps. This new version also comes with a new gesture navigation. The buttons are replaced by a navigation bar in the style of iPhones. We will have to go back, go to Home or open multitasking by sliding from the bottom.
- To go home: we slide up and release from the upper area.
- To go back: we slide from the left or right side of the screen.
- To switch between apps: we slide to the side from the bottom.
- To go to the app drawer: we slide up from the bottom.
One step to 5G and flexible displays
Android Q will also be compatible with 5G terminals, offering greater stability in the system. And speaking of new technologies, the interface will also adapt to flexible mobile screens. Last but not least: Google is focused on digital well-being and security options. Security updates on the device are improved and new use options are added, such as parental control for the little ones. Additionally, automatic replies apply to all messaging apps. In this way, we can respond directly from the notifications.
The beta 3 of Android Q is now available to download on Google terminals and on high-end devices from other companies, such as Samsung, Huawei or Xiaomi.
