After several months of waiting and a little over a month of rumors, the long-awaited update to Android Oreo 8.1 for the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 finally arrives. Although this update has already reached some regions, the truth is that Europe had not ended, at least officially. A new report through The Android Soul website confirms that the aforementioned update to Android Oreo in its latest version is already reaching European models, that is, to Spain and the rest of the countries of the European Union.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is officially updated to Android Oreo 8.1
It was in May when the first official list of Samsung mobiles that would update to Android 8 was announced and today one of the company's flagship mobiles, the Galaxy J7 from 2017, is finally updated. The OTA has been launched today, and that's it starting to reach a good number of mobiles purchased in Europe.
According to the latest report on the aforementioned technology website, Android Oreo 8.1 for the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is coming to models whose version corresponds to the SM-J730F termination. The software in question is the J730FMXXU4BRI3 version under Android Oreo in the latest version published by Google. Regarding the news of this version, we can find all that we saw with the latest version of Samsung Experience 9.o: updated system applications, interface similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9, renewed keyboard, new screen modes, inclusion of Bixby natively, renewed search engine and Dual Messenger, among many other novelties. Of course, the news included with Android Oreo 8.1 are also included, although in this case they will be hidden under Samsung's customization layer.
To update via OTA to the latest version, you will have to go to the System Updates section within the Android Settings and check if there is a new version (it is probably not yet available). In case you want to update to Android Oreo manually, we recommend that you take a look at this article where we show you how to install the firmware via Odin in a simple way. If you do not want to resort to manual installation, then you will have to wait for it to arrive on your Samsung Galaxy via OTA automatically, although surely you will have to wait several days.
