LG is starting to roll out Android 9 Pie on the LG V30 ThinQ. The update is reaching several European countries, including Spain, so if you have this model it is a matter of days before you receive it on your device. Also, it is coming for both the H930 and H931 versions with the July security patch. Of course, you need to know that the download occupies about 3 GB, which means that you will have to have that free space to install it.
Android 9 Pie for the LG V30 includes a series of improvements and additions, such as new icons and animations, changes to the gallery or the possibility of recording the screen. In addition, it offers better application management, as well as greater performance and stability when using the system. It is a long-awaited update, since this model landed on the market with Android 7 Nougat and was able to update to Oreo last year, but it was one of the phones that were pending to receive Android 9 Pie.
If you are the owner of an LG V30 and, logically, you want to install this new version of the platform, it is normal that when it is available you will receive a pop-up message on the screen of your device. If not, you already know that you can check it yourself from the settings section, about the system, software updates. We recommend that before installation you make a backup copy with all the data and files that you have stored on the device. Nothing has to happen during the process, but it is always better to be forewarned.
On the other hand, remember to have more than half the autonomy at the time of the update (better than it is in more than 60% of the battery). Do not forget to update on a secure and stable WiFi network, never use public or open WiFis or your own data connection.
