EMUI 9 under Android 9 is the next version that will come to Huawei and Honor phones. Although the version in question is currently in beta, the truth is that quite a few devices enjoy the aforementioned beta program. A few days ago we showed you precisely how to register for the EMUI 9 beta through a compatible device. It has not been more than two weeks of this and the stable version of Android 9 for Huawei and Honor is already beginning to reach some devices of both brands, although yes, in China for the moment.

This year has undoubtedly been the year in which manufacturers are putting all the meat on the spit when it comes to updates. In fact Huawei and Honor are being two of the companies that are in a hurry to update their phones.
Just a few minutes ago we were able to find out thanks to The Android Soul website that some of the brand's devices are already receiving their share of the Android pie in a stable way. Specifically, it is the EMUI version 9.0.0.125.
The devices that are already receiving the stable OTA are the following:
- Huawei P20 and P20 Pro,
- Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro
- Honor 10
- Honor View 10
- Honor Play
As for its arrival in the rest of the regions, it is expected that the OTA will be launched gradually in the following weeks, most likely from the second half of November. Obviously, the stable version will reach beta users first. The rest of users will surely have to wait until the beginning of December. Regarding the other Huawei and Honor models, at the moment nothing is known about its update to Android 9, but it is expected that both one and the other will be announced soon.
What's new in EMUI 9 for Honor and Huawei phones
Among the various novelties of EMUI 9 for mobile phones of the Chinese brand, a redesign of a large part of the system applications is included, as well as some parts of the interface such as the notification bar or Android Settings. Also the battery management and the opening of applications have been improved thanks to Artificial Intelligence. Last but not least, a new gesture navigation system very similar to Xiaomi's is included.
