After launching the testing phase of the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Ascend Mate 7, the Chinese company Huawei has already started starring in videos showing what this update looks like. The protagonist is the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, and in the video distributed by the Italian website HDBlog.it we can see what the Android 5.1 Lollipop update of the Mate 7 will look like. The update is still in the testing phase, but the final version is expected to begin shipping in the next few weeks.
In this video of just over two minutes, you can see how the Android 5.1 Lollipop update is developed on the Mate 7, accompanied by the EMUI 3.1 version of Huawei's EMUI customization layer. Among the most striking features of this update we find the renewed design of the notification center (minute 00:07 ), which includes a design identical to that found in the interface of the new Huawei P8, or the multi-window mode (minute 00:3. 4 ), which can be opened by simply sliding your finger from the bottom of the screen.

As recently announced by the Italian division of Huawei, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will be updated directly to the version of Android 5.1 Lollipop (without going through Android 5.0 Lollipop), although we do not know if in the case of Spanish users the same procedure. In fact, Spanish owners of the Mate 7 at the moment can only participate in the previous version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop version (for this you have to send an email to the address of [email protected] , indicating the IMEI of the Mate 7in which you want to test the update), and so far there has been no official announcement regarding the version of Android 5.1.
Of course, the Android 5.1 Lollipop update of the Mate 7 is still in the testing phase, and it will take a few weeks until all the errors that users report are corrected. In any case, everything indicates that the final version of this update will begin to be distributed in the coming weeks. The update will probably be distributed via OTA, and in that case the procedure to download it will be as follows:
- First you have to enter the application settings of the Mate 7.
- Once inside, you will have to click on the " Updater " (or "Updates") section.
- Finally, we will only have to click on the " Search for updates " button (through the "Online update" option) and it will be the mobile itself that will be in charge of checking if there is an update available for download. In the event that this is the case, we will click on the " Download and install " option and we will follow the instructions that we will see on the screen.
