Several months have passed since the LG G2 began to be officially updated to Lollipop and, as revealed by a new leak, very soon it could also be the turn of its little brother, the LG G2 Mini. The LG G2 Mini could begin to update to Lollipop from this same month of June, and the version that it will theoretically receive is the one corresponding to Android 5.0 Lollipop. We are talking about information that has been confirmed by an official division of the South Korean company LG, so that everything indicates that we are facing a date that appears to be final.
The confirmation has occurred on the official website of LG in Greece. In it, under a publication that linked to the LG G2 operating system updates, a response from a user who asked about the Lollipop update of his LG G2 Mini was published. The response of the South Korean company leaves no room for doubt: " The update of the LG G2 Mini is expected for the month of June ." Therefore, unless there is some last minute change, everything indicates that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update of the LG G2 Mini will begin to reach users in a matter of weeks.
And what can LG G2 Mini owners expect from the Android 5.0 Lollipop update (assuming that's the final version of the update, as it could also be Android 5.0.1 or Android 5.0.2 Lollipop)? The leaks of the LG Lollipop update that appeared a few months ago are a good clue to the new features in the interface that this version will bring with it. We are talking about an interface slightly renovated, new features in the operating system, security enhancements, optimizing battery consumption and, of course, the usualbug fixes.
In any case, it was to be expected that sooner or later the LG G2 Mini would start updating to Lollipop. We are talking about a not especially old smartphone (it was presented at the beginning of 2014), and among its technical specifications we find a Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processor, 1 GigaByte of RAM, 8 GigaBytes of internal memory expandable through microSD card and a battery with 2,440 mAh capacity. If LG does a good job of optimization, the Lollipop update You shouldn't have major problems moving smoothly on this mobile.
On the other hand, in the LG catalog there are also other smartphones in addition to the LG G2 that have started to receive their respective Lollipop updates. The LG L90 recently started updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop, while the LG G Pro 2 did the same with the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop version.
