The distribution of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update by the South Korean company Samsung is taking place gradually and practically randomly. Some high-end mobiles from this company have already been updated to Lollipop in certain countries, while those same mobiles in other countries have not yet seen a trace of the update. Therefore, this time we have decided to ask ourselves what is the current status of the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates on Samsung. What mobiles have been updated to Lollipop ? In which countries? In what versions?
We will start by talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung's highest-end smartphone. This mobile reached the stores in two versions: a version with an Exynos processor (Exynos 5433) and another version with a Qualcomm processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 805). The Exynos processor version, specifically the one corresponding to the SM-N910C numbering, has already begun to receive the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update in Poland; on the other hand, the version with Qualcomm processor (numbering SM-N910F) has also started updating to Android 5.0. 1, although at the moment it only seems to have been done in Germany.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has also received its share of Lollipop, and it has also done so in much of the European territory. The Samsung Galaxy S5 in its free version (numbering SM-G900F) can already be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in much of Europe, and in the case of Spain this same update is also available in the version of the Galaxy S5 distributed by Vodafone. Of Android 5.0.1 or Android 5.0.2, so far, no trace.
Another one of Samsung's smartphones that has started to upgrade to Lollipop is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. This terminal, in its version numbered SM-N9005, is receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in Romania, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. Previously, this same mobile also began to receive the Android 5.0 update in some Asian countries, although this update was not distributed in more countries.
And here comes the list of official Lollipop updates for Samsung smartphones. What happens to other mobiles that once also belonged to the high-end, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 ? The Galaxy S4 is fully confirmed to receive the Lollipop update, exactly the same as in the case of the Note 2, although at the moment there is no official date in this regard.
Over the next few weeks it is likely that the Lollipop update of each respective Samsung mobile will begin to reach more countries, at least as far as the free versions of these smartphones are concerned. We will be attentive to its distribution, especially in those cases in which the update reaches Spain.
