The smartphones of Huawei's Ascend range already have an update schedule for Android version 5.0 Lollipop (or higher). The Huawei Ascend Mate 7, the Huawei Ascend P7 and the Huawei Ascend G7 will be updated to some of the most recent versions of Lollipop over the next few months, the Mate 7 being the first to update. This Lollipop update will also be accompanied by EMUI 3.0, the most recent version of Huawei's interface.
This information has emerged from a calendar published on an apparently official Asian website of Huawei ( emui.com ), and in this calendar it is confirmed that the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will begin to update to some of the most recent versions of Lollipop a starting next May. The rest of the mobiles in the Ascend range will have to wait for something more and, for example, the Huawei Ascend P7 will be updated to Lollipop together with the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 from June. The Huawei Ascend G7 is also mentioned in the calendar, and its Lollipop update is scheduled for the month of September..
But those are not the only mobiles that are mentioned in this calendar. In the right section of the calendar you can see mobiles that respond to the numbers of H60-L01 , PE-TL10 and Che2-TL00 (in addition to their respective variants). In all cases we are talking about smartphones from the Honor range, the brand under which Huawei distributes its mobiles in Europe. As indicated in the calendar, the Honor 6 will begin to update to Lollipop from the month of June, the Honor 6 Plus will do so from the month of July and atHonor 4X will have its turn between the months of June and September (depending on the version).
In all these cases we are talking about an update to Lollipop that will be accompanied by the most recent version of Huawei's EMUI customization layer, EMUI 3.0. What is not yet confirmed is the version of Lollipop that will be distributed to users, and we cannot rule out the possibility that it could be the most recent versions of Android 5.0.1 or Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Of course, at no time is it confirmed that these dates refer to a global distribution of these updates, so that there may be many differences in the arrival of Lollipop to Huawei phones depending on each country (in fact, the calendar mainly refers to the Asian versions of these mobiles).
Huawei's European division has not yet ruled on this calendar. In any case, as soon as these updates are available for download, users can access them through the official Huawei website: http://consumer.huawei.com/es/support/downloads/index.htm.
