At the moment, only the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been released with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich system natively. However, the first clues that indicate the existence of plans for the launch of the next version of the Google platform for smartphones and tablets are beginning to emerge.
Its name will be Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. Remember that the progression that the Mountain Viewers follow to give their operating systems names "" or surnames "" uses words referring to sweets and sweets. And not only that: each new system is named with words whose first letter continues alphabetically to that of the previous version.
Well, the fact is that as we have learned through the specialized DigiTimes site, the new platform would officially arrive during the second quarter of this year. That is to say, that between the months of April and June we could have a first contact that, if given in the conditions that advance from the aforementioned medium, would take place in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Among the novelties that the new version of the operating system would bring, the possibility of dual-booting using Android and Chrome OS interchangeably stands out. This is Google's cloud environment, developed for netbooks and ultrabooks, which according to the latest rumors would have been also optimized to work on smartphones and tablets compatible with Android 5.0.
Apparently, the decision would be a response to the imminent landing of devices compatible with another hybrid system, Windows 8, which would be developed from two graphical interfaces designed for tablets, computers and laptops.
In fact, we have already echoed on several occasions that Nokia would be one of the firms that would lead the premiere of Microsoft's platform with a tablet that at the moment could already be available in its prototype phase, but that would not see the light until the middle of the year.
