Four of the smartphones in the Xperia range of the Japanese company Sony launched between the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 are currently beginning to receive an official update that brings with it the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version of the Android operating system. The phones chosen for this update are the Sony Xperia T (launched at the end of 2012), the Sony Xperia TX (launched at the end of 2012), the Sony Xperia SP (launched at the beginning of 2013) and the Sony Xperia V(released in late 2012).
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update introduces, in addition to the new features of the operating system, some changes aimed at improving the performance and operation of these four mobile phones. The new Android 4.3 interface has a modern and renewed look, in addition to the fact that many of the errors in this version of the operating system have been corrected to make way for a much more fluid version that should work perfectly on these four phones. Let's not forget that the Sony Xperia T, the Sony Xperia TX, the Sony Xperia SP and the Sony Xperia V until now worked with the version of the Android operating system 4.1. On the other hand, this update also introduces a novelty called Project Butter, which is the name given to the best speed and fluidity of the Google operating system that appear with this update.
In addition to the new features of the operating system, this update also incorporates some improvements developed by Sony. To begin with, practically all Sony applications that come standard on these mobiles have been redesigned and improved, see for example the case of applications such as Messages, Small Apps, TrackID or MyXperia. In addition, applications such as Walkman or album have received a new function that will allow users to upload their contents to the Internet in order to access them from anywhere. The STAMINA mode, the battery management and control application, has also received some improvements aimed at extending the battery life through new configuration options.
Within the interface aspect, users will find an application called Xperia Themes. From this application you can download different themes and designs to customize the appearance of the interface of your mobile phone. The themes have been selected by Sony and are expected to be updated from time to time with new designs.
Remember that this update will gradually reach users around the world. The first to receive it will be the owners of one of these mobiles in its free version, while users who have acquired it through an operator will have to wait a few additional weeks until each company decides to launch its corresponding update.
