We are very sorry, but the era of 'cakes' on Android has passed away. We will remember Android 9 Pie as the last of the versions that adopted a curious and sweet name. Now we have to settle for a simple numbering, Android 10. What has not changed is the pace that Google applies to its versions of the operating system. Year after year we have a new one, with its list of new features and added functions that bring a new dimension of use to our terminals. This year it was the turn of Android 10. Now we will have to wait for the manufacturer of our mobile to update its layer and we can finally have it on our device. Either that, or root our mobile to install a ROM cooked in that version. In this case, we suggest that you install ROMs with Android 10 in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and in the Xiaomi Mi A1.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Xiaomi Mi A1 with Android 10
What can you do to have the latest version of Android 10 on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, which appeared in January of this year and on the Xiaomi Mi A1 with pure Android, which this year was on the street for two years? With respect to the Note 7, calm. If you don't want to root the phone, you will still have the update to Android 10. This is not the case with the 2017 terminal. If you want to update the Xiaomi Mi A1 you will have to go through the whole rooting process. Either that, or change your mobile for a current one.
Thanks to the Android XDA development page we have the links corresponding to the ROMs cooked on a version of Android 10. For example, if you want to install a ROM for your Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 you must download it from this link. The vast majority of the basic functions are operational in this beta version although, on occasions, it may present bugs, although none of seriousness have been reported. In addition, Google applications come pre-installed, so you will not have to download and flash them separately. The ROM is known as 'Pixel Experience' and, as its name indicates, with it you will get a user experience similar to those who have a Pixel as their own mobile.
Thanks to the developers you can try Android 10
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, sooner or later, will have its official version of Android 10, it will just be a matter of waiting. But what about the Xiaomi Mi A1 with pure Android? Well, you either root or change your mobile. If you choose the former, in this link you can download the ROM that you must install, as always, through a custom recovery that you must have installed beforehand. The ROM we have for the Xiaomi Mi A1 with Android 10 is the same Pixel Experience that we saw before, although this time we do not have the screen recording option activated. For the rest, everything is fully functional and Google applications are pre-installed, so you just have to flash and use.

Remember that to root a terminal of the Xiaomi brand we must have the bootloader unlocked, an easy process to carry out but that can take a long time, since we will have to launch a request to the manufacturer. Later, we must grant root privileges to our terminal in addition to installing a custom recovery. All this we can achieve, once the bootloader is unlocked, in a very simple way thanks to the Mi Tools tool, although you can only use it with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. For the Xiaomi Mi 1 we have a tool called Xiaomi Mi A1 Tool that we can download from XDA Developers.
