TCL, manufacturer of mobile terminals for brands like BlackBerry Mobile and owner of Alcatel, is currently working on no less than five devices with flexible screens. Among these five devices are two tablets, two mobiles and a phone with a flexible screen that could become, in turn, a smartwatch. As we can see, the field of flexible mobile phones is filled with numerous brands that are committed to this new technology, becoming the new achievement to be achieved.
Alcatel joins the flexible phone market
One of the tablets that Alcatel will soon confirm will have a screen that will fold inwards, like the already known shell phones, in addition to having an additional screen on the outside, as we saw in the already presented Royole Flexpai, considered the first commercial phone of folding screen. On the other hand, mobile phones will have two different variants whose screen will fold both outside and inside, folding in a horizontal line like traditional clamshell phones and not vertically. Another of the phones will have an elongated and slim shape, capable of bending over the wrist to become a practical smartwatch.
The company is expected to launch its first device with a folding screen in 2020, although we will not know very well what it is exactly. Currently, all the big brands are working on their own flexible screen terminal, as it could be the next technology to revolutionize the market and bring people back to the mobile phone sector that, in the last year, has seen your sales decrease.
Samsung may be the first of the commercial brands to bring a phone with a flexible screen to the market, since about three weeks ago they accidentally leaked a video in which it was shown in detail.
Its innovative technology to bring flexibility to the screens of the devices has the name of ' Infinity Flex Display ' It is expected to fetch a price of approximately 1,500 euros, a screen of 7.3 inches unfolded and 4.58 inches folded.
