Alcatel, the French company responsible for mobiles such as the Alcatel OneTouch Pop C9 or the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2, has released some details of one of the smartphones that it will officially present at CES 2015. We are talking about the Alcatel Pixi 3, a new low-mid-range smartphone that will hit the market in three different versions with the three most popular operating systems on the market: Android, Windows Phone and Firefox OS. Although, yes, the three versions of the Alcatel Pixi 3they will be completely independent, which means that it will not be possible to change the operating system installed as standard.
In addition to the screen size, the Alcatel Pixi 3 will also be available in four different screen sizes: 3.5 inches, four inches, 4.5 inches, and five inches. The version with screen 3.5 inch only come with connectivity 3G, while other versions will also include connectivity 4G LTE of ultra-fast Internet (up to 150 Mbps download speed).
Regarding its design, this range of Alcatel Pixi 3 mobiles seems to be presented with a rounded finish on a plastic casing. These housings will be available in different colors: pink, blue, yellow, gray, black, green, orange and red. In addition, it also seems that the buttons of each operating system will be integrated in the lower part of the screen in the form of touch keys, which confirms that in the Alcatel Pixi 3 it will not be possible to change the factory installed operating system.
Alcatel has not provided more information regarding the characteristics of this new range of Alcatel Pixi 3, although apparently all versions of these new mobiles will incorporate very similar technical specifications. Therefore, it is to be assumed that we are facing a range of simple smartphones that will probably seek to attract the attention of their users through a relatively affordable price.
Take into account that CES 2015, the technological event in which Alcatel will present the new Alcatel Pixi 3, is held on January 6. Until January 9, we will be able to attend this and other presentations by different companies in the mobile telephony sector such as Samsung, Sony, HTC or LG, among many others.
During this same event Alcatel will also unveil more details about the Alcatel OneTouch Watch, the first smart watch of this company that also could come standard with the operating system Android Wear accompanied by a multitude of applications designed to monitor physical activity (heart rate monitor, fitness tracking, etc.) of the user. And like the smartphones in the Pixi range, this smartwatch will also hit the market with an affordable starting price (yet to be determined), as Alcatel pointed out in its press release.
