A new member of the Acer Iconia Tab family has made an appearance during the Computex technology event. It will be the cheapest model in the entire range. And it is that the Asian brand presents its Acer Iconia Tab A110, a small seven-inch tablet that will have a price lower than 200 dollars (below 160 euros, at the current exchange rate) and that comes to replace the previous Acer Iconia model Tab A100. In addition, Acer demonstrates that products can be made at low cost and with the latest technology; You will have the Android 4.0 version of Google installed.
Acer wants to continue expanding its family of tablets. And, while new presentations are expected in the market "" such as the long-awaited seven-inch Google tablet manufactured by Asus "", the small Acer Iconia Tab A110 appears on the scene, a model that is located within the framework of the computers of seven inches "" the same that would inaugurate Samsung Galaxy Tab a few years ago ". But let's see what this model hides:
First, the computer screen reaches a diagonal of seven inches and will use multi-touch technology. Meanwhile, its resolution will remain at 1,024 x 600 pixels. On the other hand, inside, the user can find a quad-core processor under the NVIDIA platform: Tegra 3 with a working frequency of 1.2 GHz. The processor will have to be added a RAM of one GigaByte.
On the other hand, the internal memory of this Acer Iconia Tab A110 will be eight GB, although you can always use MicroSD memory cards of up to 32 GB more. And all this potential will work under the mobile platform of the Internet giant: Android 4.0, the latest version that was presented at the end of 2011 during the third Nexus device show.
Likewise, the tablet will have two cameras: a rear one "" that will function as the main one "", and another front. The last of them will have a two mega-pixel sensor and its main task will be to make videoconferences. Meanwhile, the main camera has a sensor that reaches a maximum resolution of five megapixels along with an LED-type flash. At the moment no information has been leaked about the possibility of recording videos in high definition.
What can also be had with the Acer Iconia Tab A110 is a very well connected team. On the one hand, it will be possible to connect to Internet pages using high-speed WiFi points, in addition to being able to connect to 3G networks using the smartphone connection that you have, although always taking into account hiring a data rate. On the other hand, the possibility of connecting to larger screens thanks to its HDMI output or sharing material with other equipment thanks to its Bluetooth 3.0 technology cannot be ignored.
But, what will really attract the attention of the model is its asking price. And is that Acer gives a blow on the table and presents an amount of less than 160 euros to change. A price that would put in check the move that Google has in mind with its launch or the current member of Amazon's Kindle family: the Kindle Fire, the company's first foray into this sector.
