Acer Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Games Edition is a touch tablet based on Google's Android and equipped with one of the latest processors on the market, known under the name Tegra 3 from NVIDIA.
Acer will present a series of products based on collaboration with the Olympic Movement. The first of them has been its ten-inch tablet: Acer Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Games Edition. This achieves a screen resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels; In other words, you can enjoy high definition content directly from its panel which, on the other hand, is multi-touch and capacitive.
Meanwhile, inside it sits one of the newest platforms on the scene. This is Tegra 3 from NVIDIA; a platform that is based on a four-core processor that will allow us to achieve a raw power capable of supporting - without getting messy - being able to move high definition videos or large tasks. A fifth nucleus will be added to these four cores, which will be in charge of making minor functions such as listening to music, effective.
On the other hand, the autonomy of this new Acer tablet is not bad at all. The battery that comes with the invention has a capacity of 9,800 milliamps that will translate into a range of up to 15 hours of HD video playback; figures that can hardly be seen in other teams.
On the other hand, and like the original model, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 Olympic Games Edition will have two cameras: a front one with a two-megapixel sensor and oriented exclusively to video calls. And, the rear camera - which will be the main one in the team - achieves a maximum resolution of five mega-pixels capable of recording HD videos.
Acer has not indicated anything about its storage capacity and if it can be purchased in the three versions in which the original model is sold: 16, 32 and 64 GB. What is known is that it will have a RAM of one GigaByte that will make the interface of the operating system (Android 4.0) flow with total ease and small jumps will not be noticed in daily operation.
On the other hand, Acer has implemented several applications natively such as an office suite ( Polaris Office ) that will allow the user to process Office documents (Word, Excel, Power Point…), as well as an application that allows remote printing using networks WiFi and has been baptized with the name of Acer Print . According to Acer itself, this function is compatible with about 90 percent of printers on the market.
Finally, technologies such as Dolby Mobile 3+ with 5.1 sound have also been included that will improve the sound experience.
